So Daisy is a member of Product Biz Academy. She has been inside my coaching program for the. One and a half years and has really grown so much. Daisy is in such an interesting position because a lot of people think when you join a coaching program it's because you're struggling.

[00:01:26] It's because things aren't working out. But Daisy was and is a very established business and started working in product-based academy to just make things easier on. To continue to create passive income, to let go of markets every weekend, to find out ways she can have more time, more freedom, more adventure, more travel, while also growing her business.

[00:01:52] And we're gonna talk through how she's achieved that today. But before we get into the details with Daisy, I want to formally introduce [00:02:00] you to her. She is the founder of Little Buddha and Organic. Eco-friendly skincare company that was founded in 2018. She started her business after finding out how toxic all of our everyday products are.

[00:02:12] She knew she could make all natural products that were effective and actually good for you and for the earth. Daisy is committed to creating clean, ethically sourced. [00:02:33] I am so, so, so excited and grateful to introduce you to Daisy and today's episode.

[00:02:44] Well, welcome Daisy. I am just so excited to have you as a guest today on the product-based. Thank you.

[00:02:52] Daisy Betance: Thank you. I'm super excited

[00:02:53] to be on the episode

[00:02:55] Monica Little: today. Very, very excited. Oh my gosh, this is awesome. This is like the first person from [00:03:00] Product this Academy Macon, their debut on the podcast, and I know I shares.

[00:03:05] So many of your amazing testimonials and progress all over social media every time that you have an amazing win. So I thought it would just be awesome to get you on the podcast and hear about your business and what you've been doing and what has really helped you to separate yourself because you have been just crushing it.

[00:03:23] So I can't wait to, to let everyone know of what you've been up to. Well, thank you. I actually wanna do a little

[00:03:31] Daisy Betance: side note because when, uh, Monica did ask me to be on her podcast as a guest, um, I was secretly manifesting to be on

[00:03:41] Monica Little: her show. So no way. It's kinda cool that it happened and so thank you. I love it.

[00:03:48] Yes. So on the start of the line, and I know we're gonna talk about spirituality today, so that's like a perfect little teaser. But I would love to start with just you introducing yourself for someone who may not [00:04:00] know who you are. So let us know what, what your business is, why you got started, all that fun stuff.

[00:04:06] Sure. So, uh, I am the founder of Little Buddha

[00:04:09] Daisy Betance: and we, uh, are an organic skincare company. And I make things, um, all along the lines of like bath bombs,

[00:04:18] Monica Little: soaps, body butter. ,

[00:04:21] Daisy Betance: um, some

[00:04:22] Monica Little: as well as the CBD

[00:04:23] Daisy Betance: products like our bath bombs, which are really popular. And,

[00:04:27] Monica Little: um, kind how I got started and

[00:04:30] Daisy Betance: the backstory of that.

[00:04:31] Um, my mom raised us in more of like a holistic, um, family household. So we always like to natural medicines. We always try to eat more clean.

[00:04:42] Monica Little: And then I started

[00:04:43] Daisy Betance: researching, um, you know, our. and kind of started going down the rabbit hole was there, and then I started looking into our products and I was completely mind blown what is allowed in our everyday products, like all these horrible toxins and, um, all [00:05:00] these crazy things.

[00:05:00] So then I, I decided I wanted to learn how to make my own products. Um, so I took a soap and candle making class and um, it was gonna be at some guy's house. , . And, um, I. Tell anyone that I was going, I'm pretty sure my friends and family would be like, what are you doing, ? But I went and it was, it was a life changing moment, um, kind of like learning the making process and just real, and, and just enjoying more of like the creative side of it.

[00:05:33] And then three months later I actually decided to start my own company. Um, so I just went all in. and kind of a little fun story before I even had the company I applied for, um, an artisan market and the gentleman was like, okay, I need your logo. I need like product photos and a couple other things. I'm like, I only have [00:06:00] any of that

[00:06:01] So I just like went online, made some stuff and went to the store, like bought some soap cause I didn't have any soap at the time yet. He's like, cool, you're in, you're approved. And so like, okay, cool. Like I got like two months to get products going, figure this stuff out. Um, so that, that's kinda

[00:06:19] Monica Little: how it all started.

[00:06:21] Oh my gosh, I love it. And, and to, cause I've heard that story before. So to elaborate on that, you applied for a market before your business was like truly up and running, that you went to the store and bought soap for your photos. Obviously knowing if you got accepted you would make your own, but that is what you did, right?

[00:06:39] and I love that because that is a true testament of how you are as a person. It's the saying, leap and the net will appear, right? So you signed up for this market on a whim. You knew you wanted to start a business, they asked for more details, and you're like, okay, I gotta put something together. But that's truly how you [00:07:00] are as a business owner, as a person.

[00:07:02] Leap and the net will appear. Cuz you're always, what I've known from working with you the last year and a half, you're always taking risks and it's always before it's comfortable. Right, right. So I would love to know, while we're kind of on this topic, is that something that you just naturally are like a risk taker or what, where do you think that really stems from as a person?

[00:07:24] The biggest

[00:07:25] Daisy Betance: thing that's really helped me kind. Come out of my comfort zone cuz prior to what I know owning my company now, I was working in the corporate world for about 14 years. Mm-hmm. .

[00:07:35] Monica Little: And I realized

[00:07:37] Daisy Betance: that that was not really my passion and, um, I, I felt kinda like lost and I was in a space where I didn't know where I was going.

[00:07:47] So I start, and that's kind of where spirituality comes into play. Cause once I found more like my spiritual grounding. . Um, you know, having that, more of that universal belief, then that kind of [00:08:00] started to change my perception and how I did things and knew if I started to get like intuitive hits or being guided to do something, there was a reason behind it.

[00:08:11] A lot of times people think I'm crazy, like, what are you doing ? Why are you doing this? But I'm like, I dunno, but I feel like I have to. Then I end up doing it and some, and most of the times, thankfully, it's, it's been something that's been great. I mean, there's some times where, you know, I live and learn things happen, but either way, I think everything always happens for reason.

[00:08:33] Whether it be maybe a positive or maybe not so positive situation. Um, but I think it is really helped me grow as a person and as an entrepreneur to, as an entrepreneur. Nothing's ever. . And I think that's one of the biggest things is you just have to like run and jump and know and have faith that, that, that will appear.

[00:08:54] And that's one of the things that I've really been leaning into heavily pretty [00:09:00] much since I started. This business journey and

[00:09:02] Monica Little: more of my spiritual journey. Yeah, I love that and I think spirituality or having some sort of belief, right? If it's a universe, if it's God, if it's a spirit, if it's source like no matter what it is.

[00:09:14] But I find that that is such an important part of running a business because at the end of the day, What exactly like you said, when you're an entrepreneur, when you're a small business owner, you are literally taking like the biggest risk of all, which is to start your own business, invest your own money, invest your own time into something that, who knows what may happen.

[00:09:33] Mm-hmm. . So I find that the people who. truly can take the risks and don't let it get to them and believe in themselves are the one who, ones who have some sort of spirituality or something beneath the surface. So when you say you have like this universal belief, can you just tell me more? What do you mean by that?

[00:09:54] Um, like belief that no matter what you do, it's gonna work out or belief that you're [00:10:00] being guided or what do you mean by how you have this universal. That I is

[00:10:05] Daisy Betance: more of like an inner guidance. So whether it be like you mentioned, like God, universe, your, your guides, your intuition, I, I feel like those, those are the tools that help me get to, I guess faith, really faith.

[00:10:21] So whatever you believe in, whatever that may be, is having that interfaith that you're always supported and guided. Mm-hmm. . Um, and when there's times where you feel like you're all alone. , that's when I'm really shown that that's not true, and I, I always have someone there, um, guiding me, protecting me, and, and aligning me to where my next step should be.

[00:10:46] Monica Little: Yeah, absolutely. I love it. That's so beautiful. Mm-hmm. . So when you talk about, you were in the corporate world for 14 years and then you left. Tell me a little bit more about that. Was Little Buddha established when you left? [00:11:00] Was the idea there? How did that come in terms of the sequence of you taking this soap and candle class and this market and the whole part of leaving your full-time job?

[00:11:09] What's the story? Um, that's, so I,

[00:11:13] Daisy Betance: I started, I took the class in about January or so, if I remember correctly, and then I applied for the market and then I had a runway about six months or so before I was going to leave my corporate job. And people were telling me like, Hey, in order to grow your business, you need to leave your job.

[00:11:33] And I, and at that time I had a really, um, good job and I was making more than I ever made before. and it was kind of terrifying to, for the idea of actually leaving. And then

[00:11:45] Monica Little: when things

[00:11:45] Daisy Betance: started picking up, and I knew that that place wasn't before me anymore. I, I set a date that I was gonna leave, which was, um, I think it was a Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

[00:11:59] Oh, [00:12:00] it was crazy at that time, right before I left, um, they were offering all the people in my position a bonus. And everyone's like, you're crazy. You're gonna leave right before your bonus. Like if you just stay a few more weeks, you'll get that bonus. I'm like, no, I don't. I don't care. I'm leaving cause I'm ready to go.

[00:12:18] And everyone thought it was crazy, like people were offering me other jobs. People were like, are you sure you're okay? I'm like, yes, I'm fine. I'm. So I think one of the things that I learned with entrepreneurship is like you really have to have faith in yourself because people will try to like make you change your mind or try to put you in more of a safe space because people, most people don't know, aren't entrepreneur urgent and they don't know what taking that leap is.

[00:12:54] So I think that was one of the hardest or not one of the biggest learning lessons is to really. [00:13:00] Learn

[00:13:00] Monica Little: to shut that noise out

[00:13:03] Daisy Betance: and, and just really have that strong faith that everything will work out because if I didn't, I probably would've listened to other people and not left.

[00:13:12] Monica Little: Yeah, I think that's such an important point because we don't realize that as small business owners, We are like somehow wired different than other people, right?

[00:13:23] So many other people when thinking of leaving a full-time stable job will be like, no, no, no, don't do that. Why would you do that? You're crazy. What about the insurance? What about the benefits? What about the pay you get every two weeks that's coming into your bank account without any questions asked?

[00:13:40] And there's something weird about small business owners and entrepreneurs where we're like, don't care about any of that. Just let me do my own thing. Right? But I truly think that what you said is so spot on that people are going to really question what you're doing from a place of, of love, right? These people probably cared for you and, and wanted the [00:14:00] best for you, but knowing truly that, hey, we're meant for more.

[00:14:03] This isn't where I'm meant to be. I need to do something else with my life. So talk me through that when you. Was it this passion to do something different? Was it just to have more freedom? Was it anything else for the reasoning why you left your full-time job? I mean, I,

[00:14:22] Daisy Betance: I think that was a, a big reason.

[00:14:25] And also that at that time, um, I was going through a really big shift in my personal life as well. Um, there I was ending a 12 year relationship, so I went from. , um, you know, working corporate job and, and thinking I was gonna potentially get married to completely shifting my life around to, um, living on my own and supporting going from like two incomes to like zero income pretty much.

[00:14:57] And, you know, as beginning and starting a business. [00:15:00] And that was, it was a terrifying moment, but I knew. I felt like I was being guided at that specific time to do these things and to really find who I was in the midst of always trying to please other people or do certain things because we, we should be doing a certain thing because that's what society tells us to do.

[00:15:24] And then when I realized that those, when I, when I was doing those things, I didn't feel passion, I didn't feel excitement. I wasn't. and when I started to do things on my own and create my own way, then I was like, this is where I feel like my passion lies. and now everyone who thought I was crazy is now telling me like, oh my God, I wish I could do what

[00:15:45] Monica Little: you're doing.

[00:15:47] Yeah. Oh my gosh. I love it. But seriously, I mean that's, that's so often how the story goes, and that's how it was for me too. When I left my full-time job, I didn't even tell my parents. They somehow found out like three or four months [00:16:00] later from like a friend of a friend of a friend , because I was just like, I don't wanna tell them and I don't wanna get like scolded and I don't wanna go through this conversation.

[00:16:07] And it's like, I'm gonna do what I wanna do, right? Like I, I am a very independent person and I am gonna pave my own way no matter who says what. So for me, it meant not telling my parents right away. . Um, how was your family with this transition from leaving your full-time? I'm so thankful

[00:16:27] Daisy Betance: they have been so supportive.

[00:16:29] Um, actually the person I called as soon as I left the class was my dad and he, I told him like, dad, this guy makes soap and that's what he does for a living and I wanna do that. He's like, then do it. I'm like, I am. Oh, he was super supportive and I mean, even to this day, like he, anything he could do to make my.

[00:16:50] More, um, functional or more efficient to always find a way to do stuff. Like he built my studio. He's make like my soapbox. So anything they, they do, even my [00:17:00] mom, like my whole family, my brother has really involved my business. I think my mom just asked me right when I was leaving, like, are you sure this is what you wanna do?

[00:17:07] And I'm like, I'm sure. Okay. No one's ever questioned me

[00:17:10] Monica Little: after. Yeah. I think that's the importance of just having some sort of support network, right? If it's your family, amazing. If it's not your family, then it's like finding people who are in your corner and finding other small business owners who get it, or just finding people who understand what the situation is like, but truly having.

[00:17:29] Some people in your corner to help, cuz that's a huge transition and I know a lot of people want to do that, but can be a little intimidated by it. So that's why I wanted to dive into that a little bit. So thank you so much for sharing that with us. I would love to switch gears a little bit, um, and talk a little bit about your time in Product Bus Academy because you are one of the first people who joined Product Bus Academy.

[00:17:55] and have continued on since then and we've been working together. [00:18:00] A year and a half now. So it's been amazing to see all of the growth that you've had in the last year and a half. It's been amazing to get to know you, your business, to get into the details with you. But I would love to hear from your perspective, thinking of where Little Buddha by Daisy was when you joined Productbased Academy versus where you are now.

[00:18:20] What has that journey been like for.

[00:18:23] Daisy Betance: First off, it's been a whirlwind and it's the crazy that's been a year and a half already, . Um, but I think it's, it's brought on so much shift and change with the mindset of how I run my business every, every, every day. And I, I know one of the things that you've said in the past is, um, which I felt like this was what I was doing.

[00:18:44] It's like throwing spaghetti at the wall and hoping something sticks. That's what I kinda felt I was doing for a. Three ish years before I met you. Like I, I would come up with things and then I wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing. [00:19:00] Um, and I, I wish I would've met you sooner. , . Um, but you know, obviously everything happens for a reason.

[00:19:11] And I met you, no one I needed to meet you. And, um, it's completely shifted on how I. Run my business more efficiently, um, with, you know, automating certain things. Um, bringing on more help because when I was doing everything, I originally, when I started the company, it was me and I wore all the hats and I was burning myself out.

[00:19:36] And at some point you have to start bringing in help. Cause you're only one person. You can't do it all. And I think you helped me really. Realized that mind shift of getting the help, even though maybe you might not feel like you could, you know, quote unquote afford the help, but you really can't not afford to [00:20:00] get the help because you're just gonna be spinning your wheels.

[00:20:03] So yeah, that was a huge mind shift for me, um, being on ets. , um, was a huge one because I had Etsy a long time ago, but then I took it off cause I was hearing people complaining about fees and all those crazy, silly things. . So now my Etsy has, you know, been growing and flourishing and we, we did a lot of work.

[00:20:27] Um, Monica and I are a lot of sessions and months and months of, of work. Um, and, and now it's up and running, which is am amazing. . Um, it's, I've learned so much with you. And not only that, of building a community of other like-minded business owners, which is I think to me in an invaluable tool to have, is to have that support system.

[00:20:52] Because a lot of times people around me might not know what it feels like or like the battles or the days you wanna rip your hair out. [00:21:00] And having that support system, um, to help, you know, with the mind shift of learning. a lesson from whatever happened, and not letting you know, not beating yourself over it, I think has been a really amazing

[00:21:14] Monica Little: thing for me.

[00:21:16] Yeah. I think that's something that a lot of people don't realize is how important community actually is. And I know for me, would you, would you call yourself an introvert daisy, or are you an extrovert? Oh yeah, introvert. Yeah. I think for me, and maybe you can relate to this too, and maybe the person listening as well, but as an introvert, when I first started my business, I'm like, no, no.

[00:21:34] Like I don't need, you know, people, let me do my own thing. Like I like to be my, by myself. I like to do my own thing. But man, when you actually get a community of people around you who truly get it, and it's. You can come to a session, you can vent, you can celebrate each other, you can see what others are doing and get inspiration from it.

[00:21:53] You can get ideas from other people in the community. I think that is one of the biggest pieces that [00:22:00] people really don't talk about because it kind of sounds a little like fr free, like yeah, community, blah, blah, blah. But I personally think, and just wanna echo what you said on how that's such a huge part of knowing.

[00:22:11] I'm not the only person going through this. I have people I can lean on. I have people who support me. I have people who are there to celebrate me, to listen to me , to, you know, from the good to the bad. So I, I love to hear you say that part of it too. One thing I wanted to ask you was, what about your perspective on markets?

[00:22:30] So I wanna dive into Etsy a little bit, but first, tell me how little Buddha has changed with how you used to do markets and where you are now. Oh,

[00:22:38] Daisy Betance: that, that, thanks for bringing up. That was a tremendous shift because when I first started Little Buddha, I was doing anywhere from like five to seven or even more markets a week.

[00:22:51] Wow. And it was a lot. And then I even brought on helpers to like being able to handle taking out more. So I just got to a point [00:23:00] where it was just crazy with, you know, doing markets. And some markets are really great and some markets were. , and I'm really proud that this last year is the first year that we did No Markets.

[00:23:15] I think one, um, one or two or something like that. But yeah, we didn't like No Markets. Oh my gosh. One or two.

[00:23:23] Monica Little: Yeah. And how did that feel and why did you shift in that perspective? Um, because I started realizing

[00:23:30] Daisy Betance: that we could, I could start focusing my attention on online. , which before I, that was never my primary focus cause I was always used to doing markets and every weekend there was this money coming in.

[00:23:45] But then I realized I was working seven days a week and I wasn't getting all myself to have any rest. And I was burning myself out and it became a lot. And I almost started, um, to kind of. [00:24:00] The, the work I was doing a little bit, because every weekend I, I was missing out on family stuff. I was missing out on friends stuff I was missing out on just myself.

[00:24:12] And now that I have the ability to, um, have the, the, you know, more of a passive income coming in with Etsy, with my shop, with wholesale, uh, wholesale platform. Is such a game changer, such a game changer. It's like I

[00:24:29] Monica Little: get my life back again. . Yeah. And that's one of the biggest shifts that I love to work with people on in Productbased Academy.

[00:24:35] Two things that you said, it's the market shift and the Etsy shift, so hearing both of your points of view on how that helped you I think is really important because the market front, like you're spot on. So many people, including myself, including most people who join Product Base Academy, rely on markets.

[00:24:51] But like you said, it's every single weekend of every single month, and it's just working all weekend long just to kind of [00:25:00] survive. Right. and as soon as you stop going to these markets, most of the money that flows in also stops. So it's like you're tied to every single weekend, all summer long, all holiday long, Christmas, every, you know, it's just this never ending game.

[00:25:14] And so many people get caught up in the cycle. So I love to hear how that really shifted for you, and that's amazing how only one or two markets in the last year like that is incredible because your business is like growing and flourishing. So it's not like, , you're just taking markets off and not having anything coming in.

[00:25:32] It's just you've built the passive income, the Etsy, the fair, the your website Instagram, to have that income and more covered. But I also love what you said about Etsy, cuz you were in a very unique situation where a lot of people who are on Etsy kind of start there and then they go onto their own website.

[00:25:51] But it was interesting, your situation, which is another kind of pivot that I love, where your website was so established. Your Instagram is so [00:26:00] established, your branding is so established. And now we kind of did the flip side where you're super established, but let's get you on Etsy now. And like you said, it took us quite a bit of time to get it to work, which is sometimes the name of the game that we just have to keep trying and reiterating and testing.

[00:26:17] But I would love to hear from you now, what are some of the results that you're seeing on Etsy? How many orders do you have? Um, do you have them coming in every single day, every single week? What does Etsy look like for you today? Yeah, it's

[00:26:30] Daisy Betance: been absolutely mind blowing how it's become its own machine, which is incredible.

[00:26:37] Um, I think I recently shared a win in, in our group that I've had, uh, orders every single day. There has been not one day that I haven't received an order since Black

[00:26:49] Monica Little: Friday. Wow. And it's January 16th right now. So that is all of December, end of November. Two, almost three weeks into January. Like [00:27:00] that's amazing.

[00:27:01] Daisy Betance: It's, and not only one, I mean there, there's multiples that are coming every day and like I was sitting there looking, um, today on just how many states we've come across just in January alone, and I've covered almost all the states in January. What, 16? I'm like, is this real life ?

[00:27:21] Monica Little: Yeah. That's amazing because January is normally slow season, right?

[00:27:25] Yeah, yeah. But man, if you know how to do it, if you know how to optimize these platforms, then Sure. I mean, we're not talking Christmas levels right now, but having orders every single day in almost all 50 states in the last 16 days, like that's incredible. Yeah,

[00:27:40] Daisy Betance: I, it's, it's in Incre, absolutely incredible.

[00:27:42] Like anytime anyone's near me, they just hear my phone go off, like with a little like chich, chich, this noise, and then like up to, um, orders. Like it is such incredible feeling to look at my phone and first thing and ready, see orders [00:28:00] coming in. Yeah. So it. It is such an amazing, um, thing and, and there's so many people that I talk to, they're like, oh, you know, the Etsy and the fees or your, your market is so saturated.

[00:28:12] And I think one of the things that you said is like, of course there's like tons of people, you know, probably making the same thing, whether it be like soaps or, or jewelry, but it's how you distinguish yourself and set yourself aside and, and how are you using the tools within Etsy is what's the game changer.

[00:28:28] Yeah. I didn't. That I just figured put your stuff on there and it, it will sell. That's not true

[00:28:37] Monica Little: at all. Yeah, that's the same with Etsy. Same with fair. As we talk about like wholesale platforms too, a lot of people think that, which is super interesting. It's just like, oh, I'm on Etsy, or Oh, I'm on fair. And it's like, well, you know, there's still some like strategy behind it and you gotta mess around with it and keep coming back.

[00:28:53] And I always joke about. That we worked on Etsy for a while and sometimes we would go back and forth on a couple [00:29:00] things and I'm like, oh my gosh, Daisy probably hates me because we changed one thing and now we're changing it back, and now we're changing it back a second, a third time. Um, but seriously, it's just, you know, the trial and error that really comes with Etsy.

[00:29:12] But it's so worth it because now you have, what, almost 400 sales on Etsy? Is that right?

[00:29:17] Daisy Betance: Just about. And I think the other day I looked in over a hundred reviews. Yeah. Five star reviews,

[00:29:24] Monica Little: which is really exciting. Absolutely. Mm-hmm. . So that's the amazing potential. And this is such a unique example, which is why I wanted to talk about it because you have beautiful branding, you have beautiful products, you have your own beautiful website, but man, if someone is in a similar spot as you and they also can take that branding amazing product on Etsy and actually optimize it, that's 400 orders that maybe you wouldn't have had.

[00:29:48] and now it's potentially X amount of people that maybe didn't hear about you. And I know people are coming back and buying from you more than once. Right. Do you see a lot of repeat orders on Etsy? Yeah. And one of

[00:29:59] Daisy Betance: the things [00:30:00] I've been doing is adding samples to the orders and then peop and everyone loves them and they come back and I've been buying whatever samples I've been putting in, into their boxes and, um, it's been great.

[00:30:14] And then following up with like, reviews, it, it, it almost become. Like a fun game. I, I don't even know how to just, I'm like, this is fun. . .

[00:30:23] Monica Little: Yeah. You see

[00:30:25] Daisy Betance: the, um, the, the shifts and the changes like automatically, like I don't have to like, wait, and, and I think those are the things that having working with you has really like, transformed my business on so many different levels.

[00:30:43] So I'm so grateful. For you and your program and, and not only that, also working with you has brought accountability because I think we all say like, yeah, great. That sounds a great idea. And then we get busy doing a million things and then the things that [00:31:00] we've said we're gonna do, don't get

[00:31:01] Monica Little: done. Yeah.

[00:31:03] And that's one thing that I say too, is it takes a lot of courage to sign up for a coaching program, but it takes even more courage to actually do the work. Mm-hmm. . And I think you're a perfect example of you're taking all the feedback. You never ask like, how long is this gonna take? How long do I gotta do this?

[00:31:18] How many more times do we have to try? It's just like, okay, feedback. And then two hours later there's a post from Daisy in the Facebook group saying, I just did this, and guess what happened, . And it's like the best to see because truly, you know, if you are. Taking the step to join a program and then also doing the uncomfortable work of trying things over and over, showing up in different ways, trying different strategies, learning, implementing right away.

[00:31:43] Then it's like, game over. There's nothing that can stop you. Right? That's like the perfect equation, which is why you've had su such awesome success. So I would love to hear from you too if, um, you have any other tips for small business owners looking to grow their business. Like if there were [00:32:00] three. that you would say to someone who's really looking to scale their business?

[00:32:04] Because before I tee up this question, One thing I wanna mention is in November, I know I posted about this on social media, but you had like a $9,000 a month in November without doing any markets. Mm-hmm. and then I think December was pretty dang close to that too. Yeah. So this is just like the amazing testimonial of we don't have to be tied to markets.

[00:32:25] We can learn how to sell online. You have a team that's helping you and you're having $9,000 months that are coming in. So what are a couple tips? Maybe 1, 2, 3 tips across any topic for small business owners looking to grow their business? Well, first

[00:32:41] Daisy Betance: and foremost is find,

[00:32:45] Monica Little: align, and just, just to mention, I did not tell her to say that.

[00:32:51] I did not prompt her .

[00:32:54] Daisy Betance: No, it's not a paid endorsement, I promise. . Um, no, but in, [00:33:00] in all seriousness, I, I would say I wish that, um, that was one thing I would've started sooner is finding a coach. Um, And I have a, I have a coup, a couple different things that I work with, whether it be like business coach, uh, intuitive coach.

[00:33:16] Just find someone, a mentor that could help guide you and save yourself from many headaches and mistakes and be your support system when you need it. So I think that was just a complete game changer. Um, another thing would be to really set aside dedicated time for yourself. , I feel as an entrepreneur, you could go all day, every day and that's not really good for you or your business because you're not really gonna be having the best version of you out there.

[00:33:52] Um, so I think that's one of the biggest that I learned also for myself is making sure I set aside time for me [00:34:00] and, um, another one would be, Setting goals. And I know one of the things that we did recently with Monica was we had a goal setting meeting. Um, so that was really helpful to kind of keep you on track and, you know, going along with your vision, setting up uh, 30, 60, 90 goals.

[00:34:21] Cause obviously as entrepreneur is, we get tons of great ideas all the time, , and sometimes I can even do this. I get really excited about ideas and I like veer off. Somewhere else and having that has really kind of helped, um, reign me back in. Yeah, I think those are the three biggest. Tips

[00:34:40] Monica Little: that I would have.

[00:34:41] Yeah. And I love the last one that you mentioned. Well, I love all three of them. You know, self-care is so important and I know that's something that, um, a lot of people struggle with, but we have to take care of ourselves in order to show up for a business. But the last one that you mentioned too, it's just focus, right?

[00:34:55] If you wanna get stuff done, it's focus on those projects and it's gonna be hard, and [00:35:00] sometimes it's gonna be boring and it's not always the most fun. But truly, if we have this dream or vision, Goal that we want to achieve, then we gotta do the work to get there. So I love how you mentioned the goal setting and having a plan and accountability, because all of that is a big game changer too.

[00:35:17] So another question I wanted to ask you is, I know you mentioned you used to do markets like seven up to seven markets a week with employees, with going to different places, different cities, different days, all week long. What do your weekends look like now that you're not doing. Very different .

[00:35:35] Daisy Betance: Um, I

[00:35:36] Monica Little: love being outside of nature.

[00:35:38] Daisy Betance: I moved last year to Chattanooga, Tennessee, so I'm outside as much as possible. Um, traveling, I mean, even a fun fact is pretty much I've been traveling for past three or four weeks, and to be able to be away from my house and still know that products are being made, that packages are being shipped out paired and [00:36:00] it's taken care of.

[00:36:01] It. It's like a whole new level of wow like I can enjoy my life and know my business. It's still functioning is probably one of the most incredible feelings I could ever

[00:36:15] Monica Little: imagine. Yeah, because you've been, in the last couple weeks, you've been in Miami, you've been in Savannah, Georgia, you were in Charleston, you were in Chicago, right?

[00:36:25] Daisy Betance: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've been all over the place and it it to have that freedom. and, and comfort to know that I, that I can do these things and still run my business has been life changing. Yeah. . .

[00:36:41] Monica Little: And when you think about it, that's why people start their businesses for freedom. But usually the last thing that we have is freedom because we're doing markets every weekend because we're making products all week long because we're burning ourself out working 40, 50, 60 hours a week.

[00:36:55] So to hear your story of how that completely transitioned to, you've been traveling [00:37:00] the last four weeks with family, spending, the holidays with your family, seeing your sister, your nieces and nephews, your your brother, your mom and dad, um, and actually like living. That's the whole point of why we started a business to have this freedom.

[00:37:14] So to have you share your story of while you've been focusing on how you got here, I think it's gonna be so inspirational for everyone who's listening. Well, thank you. Yeah. It's been,

[00:37:25] Daisy Betance: it's been such incredible journey to be able to really enjoy my lies. I, I think everyone is just so stuck on the hamster wheel sometimes.

[00:37:36] Yeah. Oh yeah. It's nice to enjoy life as it. .

[00:37:40] Monica Little: Yeah. And I love to see that that's something that you focus on every single day, right? The self-care part, being in nature every day, enjoying the weekends. So , yes. Five hour morning routine every day. Yeah. That's alright. Yeah. That's how mine is too. I wake up at like five 15 and I start work at nine.

[00:37:57] I'm like, what am I doing for four hours? [00:38:00] What is going on? But we need to like set the date right. Um, yes. Well, I'd love to hear it. I would love to just, um, ask you one final question. Uh, what's next for Little Buddha by Daisy? Anything fun coming up this year? What is on the docket? I mean, so many things.

[00:38:16] Daisy Betance: Um, I'm, I'm hoping to, one of my, I'll take that back. Not hoping. Um, I am planning, envisioning on getting my own separate making. , um, which will be exciting to have a separate space for my home and my making space. So that's a really big goal is to get into a space, um, before September, so before the holiday season again, and continue to, um, grow my team and expand.

[00:38:51] And we have some really cool opportunities coming up, which I don't wanna share just yet.

[00:38:56] Monica Little: Oh. But there's some really exciting stuff.

[00:38:59] Daisy Betance: Oh my gosh. [00:39:00]

[00:39:00] Monica Little: I'm very proud and excited. I love it. So where can people follow you to be in the loop when you're sharing all these fun, exciting, new things that are coming up?
